Take a blue pill for my left side pains, a red one for the right.
Or is it the other way around? Side-effects meltin’ my mind.
There’s a potion for my foot sores, got a lotion for my skin,
some sticky, icky, waxy gel I’m supposed to massage in.
Some square pills for my heartburn, a round pill for heart-race.
Cod liver oil, early each morn, so I can gurn me face.
A bucketful of orange gunk, I ground from roots ‘n’ peel
to masticate at leisure or imbibe to speed the heal.
Supposit’ries ferma ragged rear eased in with Vaseline.
There’s no mixture or concoction I ain’t tried as medicine.
T.C.P., to heal sore throats, is good for cleaning engines!
Placebos fend against new world order injections.
Epson Salts an’ Fuller’s Earth mixed in with Holy water,
for when I’m knockin’ at death’s door with man flu disorder.
Philtres fill my bedside drawer, well past their sell by date.
Sleeping pills, every two hours, keep me calm and sedate.
A lozenge always in my mouth, to fend off germs and bugs.
Bank balance bleeding deep blood red from my prescription drugs.
To finance none-stop embrocation (and one or two bad habits),
I’m a pharmaceutical guinea-pig, one rank above the rabbits.
An angel advises abstinence, I’m too weak-willed to yield,
sell my soul to the Devil in desperation to be healed.
Conscience soothed with esoteric scents from-a potpourri
of ground Tasmanian Tiger tooth and the last Dodo filet.
One might, mistakenly, believe I’m fit and in fine fettle.
Behind the facade, the thin-veneer, I’m as fragile as a petal.

Or is it the other way around? Side-effect high as a kite.
Placebos fend against evil new world order injections.
Or is it the other way around? Side-effects’ come to light
Or is it the other way around? Better bite another white!
My soul soothed with esoteric scents from a potpourri
A suppository for my (ragged) rear eased in with Vaseline.
Bank balance a deep shade of blood red from my prescription/designer drugs.
One might, mistakenly, believe I’m a picture of good health.
Behind the facade, the thin-veneer, I’m as fragile as an elf
My soul soothed with esoteric incense and bouquet
A whole load of glowin’/wierd orange gunk, I ground from roots ‘n’ peel
to rub on, chew or x imbibe to speed it’s magic heal.
