Animal Farm

Hist-or-y does not repeat – but it surely rhymes.
Brave lions led by donkeys – the sheep led by swine.
Short-straws to break the camel’s back, flogging a knackered horse.
Everyone is equal: ‘cept the pigs in charge, of course.

Milking the stupid tax cows dry,
there’s snakes in the grass.
Now foxes guard the hen house,
they own your fuckin’ ass.

Animal Farm.

Plagiarise! Claim the spoils! Blame “Snowball” when things fail.
The nameless Fat Cats lick the cream, always too big to jail.
Apples and milk for the elite, the rabble slaving hard.
Everyone is equal: ‘cept the fat, greasy pigs in charge.

Milking the stupid tax cows dry,
you heroes – second class.
The foxes guard the hen house,
they own your fuckin’ ass.

CHORUS

Viscious guard-dogs, the police state, don’t bite the hand that feeds.
The leader said, it must be right, and what the workers need.
To keep you “safe”, stictly enforced, innumerable laws.
So everyone is equal: ‘cept the pigs in charge, of course.

PRE-CHORUS

CHORUS

For your own good, stictly enforced, innumerable laws.
For their welfare, stictly enforced, innumerable laws.
The leader said, it must be right, and so justies their deeds.
And all for you, stictly enforced, their uncountable laws.
But everyone is equal: ‘cept the pigs in charge, of course.
The elephant in the room, and the gorilla too.
