Fate

I’ve been here before, down this rocky road, so often – I’ve lost count.
Like a river to the sea, goin’ with the flow, inna whirlpool spinnin’ ’round ‘n’ round.
Try as I might, no good deed goes unpunished, ‘n’I’m ya golden whippin’ boy.
Hear my black swan song, can’t do no right for wrong, a life of endless pain an’ tragedy

I’m there again, ‘tween a rock an’ a hard place
‘twixt the Devil and the deep blue sea.
I’m just a man anna man has no choice;
fate is our mistress,

fate our destiny.

Confusin’ motion for progress, there’s no way out of this mess.

One in a million, born without a chance; no luck, no fortune, no respite.
Tireless we punch an’ jab, rollin’ with life’s blows, unsung heroes yet to throw a fight.
Ranks bled an’ thin, battle-weary last men standin’, another one bites the acrid dust,
We can’t choose our end, trouble ‘n’ strife ahead, behind us all the good deeds we ignored.

CHORUS

Waitin’-for my black swan song, can’t do no right for wrong, an life of endless x an’ tragedy
As we duck, as we weave, punchin’ with each roll, tired heroes never throw the fight.
Tireless we punch an’ jab, duck ‘n’ weave ‘n’ roll, tired heroes refuse to throw the fight.
One in a million, never given a chance; no luck, no fortune, no respite.
Tireless we punch an’ jab, rollin’ with life’s blows, unsung heroes about to throw the fight.
Tireless we punch an’ jab, rollin’ with life’s blows, unsung heroes never thrown a fight.
