Out O’ The Red

Life’s beat me – black and blue,
never raised a cry and hue.
Way too wet – behind the ears,
seriously little green.
Ain’t no hero – ‘n’I ain’t yellow,
wasn’t born a Rockefeller.
Dare I say – proud and white?
Slaved long and hard all my life.

Gone are the days when I bled cash,
take a look at me now, I’m back in black!

Out o’ the red.

Penniless – workin’ class,
poor kid done good! Ahm’ade o’ brass.
How times change, tickle me pink,
Stop me when my shit don’t stink.
