Out Of The Blue

Just mindin’ my own, not expectin’ what came,
She skipped the conversation, didn’t wanna know my name!
Drank a shot of my whisky, grabbed my hand for a dance,
stole my heart with her smile, good ol’ fashioned romance.

I’m tellin’ you boys, every word is true!
Took me by surprise it came:

outta the blue.

After a jig ‘n’ jive, we knocked back another round,
a slow number in my arms the pretty soulmate I had found.
Then she whispered in my ear, it was time to leave.
Out through the back door, with me head over/hot at her heels.

PRE-CHORUS

CHORUS

What happened next a gentleman won’t betray.
One thing led to another, all that I’m prepared to say:
I had nothing to lose, she had nothing to hide.
One man ain’t enough to satisfy, but God knows I tried!

PRE-CHORUS

CHORUS

©27.3.2019 Andrew Robert Chapman

One man’s too weak to satisfy
Ladies like that can’t be x but God knows I tried.
By mornin’ she had left, but you can’t say I tried.
my tongue ‘n’ hands tied.
I can’t say anymore ‘cos my tongue is/hands are tied.
came for the hell of it, stayed for the ride.
