Radio Song

They’re playin’ a song on the radio that ev’ryone is singin’.
I listened to the words and, y’know what?, it got me thinkin’
about better times, back to another life,
it pealed away the years.
When we were free, (lived) the American dream,
had me chokin’ back the tears.

‘cos things changed, what the hell went wrong?
Got me thinkin’: (it was) the (radio song).

Radio song.

They’re playin’ a song on the radio with a happy clappy tune.
People mindlessly singin’ along, ignorant of their doom.
Wrapped in cotton wool, cheerin’ a cull,
blind to the body bags.
Preachin’ world peace, but feedin’ the beast,
wavin’ a blood stained flag.

Nothing has changed, what the hell went wrong?
Got me thinkin’: (it was) the (radio song).

CHORUS
