Should’ve Lied

Well it’s true what they say,
about what a girl seeks.
Ain’t a gentleman,
to satisfy her needs.
You can tell the truth,
and man they make it tough.
But the bigger your lie,
the more they lap it up.

Should’ve lied a little,
Should’ve lied a little,
Should’ve lied a little,
What the Hell!
I should’ve lied a lot!

Dragged kicking and screaming
to the electric chair.
All those looking on
don’t really care.
I knew it was too late
when the gavel fell.
Should’ve told a different story,
not let her kiss-and-tell. / now I’m off to Hell.

CHORUS

What I didn’t learn in life,
I’ll put to good use now.
I keep stating my case,
above the hellish row.
Claim with truthful eyes (truthful lies),
that they’ve got the wrong man.
Hah! Just look at me now,
lying in the promised land.

Never lie a little,
Never lie a little,
Never lie a little,
Trust in God!
But always lie a lot!
