Zombie State

We buy our own – 24/7 – i-Tracking device.
Maintaining their databases – for the price of a LIKE.
Paying them to programme us – within our own homes.
The cost of our freedom is – we’re never ever alone.

The young girl pushes a pram – with her face aglow.
Her new-born child is hidden – behind the i-info.

We’re in a:
Zombie State.

We’re filmed – twentyfour-seven, three sixty five.
Recording our daily movement – for all our lives.
To service our tax debt we toil our life away.
Worse than a feudal serf – we don’t know we’re enslaved.

The young man works all week and needs a pay-day loan.
He’s behind on his rent but he’s got the newest phone.

CHORUS

Get your head out of the “clouds”, take a good look around.
If you can’t see who the patsy is, then it’s you who’s going down.
You’re a techno-slave, bought your own ball and chains.
Another useless eater – in a Zombie State.

CHORUS

The young man works all week and is hardly home.
He’s behind on his rent and his pay-day loan.

The young man works all week to watch the next big-game.
X X X X to stop himself going insane.
He doesn’t know his neighbours, but all the player’s names.
